You can watch the story here:
We have been busy doing lots of different activities related to the story over the last few days.
We acted the story out in small groups, the children really enjoyed doing this as they liked thinking of the words the different characters said! There were some fantastic performances! We have also thought about those pesky seagulls and looked at some real life photographs of naughty seagulls. The children wrote what they thought the seagulls were saying.
The children also made a story map telling the story in the correct order. Some children wrote labels for their story map.

This afternoon we have been busy with three different activities. The children made seagulls using paper plates, cut out and positioned pieces of lighthouses in the correct place and pin pricked lighthouses using cocktail sticks. It was a jam-packed afternoon!
